We endeavour to treat all our guests and prospective guests as individuals, and recognise other problems than mobility e.g. to assist dyslexic guests we try to use suitable typefaces and paper, and not too many notices!
To do this we take time to discuss individual requirement with each person who contacts us.
We are a small holiday park with limited resources and so some requirements are not within our power to fulfil, others we may have considered and can meet, on the other hand if we can meet your special requirements we will endeavour to do so.
We believe that we have considered most areas to enable you to enjoy your stay at Silver Sands Holiday Park.
Booking and enquires. This can all be done via the internet, telephone or by post.
We have endeavoured to minimise the perceived problems at reception. We are willing to come to the other side of the desk to enable you to register with maximum ease.
We have endeavoured to keep the reception area both well lit and free from “clutter.” We
have also installed a hearing loop.
Our toilet block is lit by a photoreceptive cell and the lights come on at dusk. The whole area has been decorated in light colours and we have tried to make distinctive contrasts where possible to steps etc. Paths to the entrance are concrete and we have tried to eliminate obstructions where possible.
Generally paths and roads throughout the park are of gravel, as an added safety precaution for children to hear approaching traffic.
Our holiday homes are standard manufacturing sizes and do not have any special adaptations for people who need to use a wheelchair to aid their mobility.
Registered Assistance dogs are welcome in all of our accommodations. Please provide registration details when booking.
We try to keep out grounds free from unnecessary obstructions and with as few labels and notices as possible.
We are always happy to discuss your special requirements and to be advised by guests with special requirements as to how we could improve the site to cater for them.
